1 Cleric. Cleric is easily the best class in the game. Solasta has a limited selection of classes compared to most CRPGs, and this means there is a limited selection of healers. You either take a Druid, or you take a Cleric. As you can probably tell by the positioning of the Cleric, this is the one you want.

Ranger is a solid all-rounder in Solasta. In combat, the class focuses on bows or dual-wielding, casting Hunter’s Mark at the start of the battle and recasting it whenever his main target dies. This play style is very efficient and makes ranger’s arguably the best source of sustained damage in the game, but it can also be seen as boring.

Sounds like solaste works ok with controller as well. I play on a controller almost all the time, theres a few glitches with the incentory thats annoying but otherwise its more fun for me to do it that way. Its pretty optimized for controller play.
