Learn more about this all-new Subaru EV

2023 Subaru Solterra
If you’ve been yearning for an electric crossover from Subaru, get ready for the all-new 2023 Solterra EV. This exciting new SUV is intelligent, efficient, and safe — all wrapped up in a stylish exterior.

The 2023 Subaru Solterra is available at three trim levels: Premium, Limited, and Touring.

Performance

When you buy an EV, you expect outstanding range and fast-charging capability. The new Solterra is the first zero-emissions vehicle from Subaru, and it has an estimated range of more than 220 miles. For Level 1 charging, the electric SUV comes with a charger that can work with a 120-volt outlet. If you want Level 2 charging capability, you can have a 240-volt charger installed on your Solterra. When you’re on the go, you’ll be happy to know that Subaru created EVgo — the first public EV fast-charging network in the U.S. that’s powered by 100% renewable energy. Across the country, there are over 46,000 public charging stations available. To get charged up to 80% in less than an hour, the more than 2,900 DCFC (direct-current fast charger) stations are quick and convenient.[1]

Because it’s a Subaru, the 2023 Solterra is just as capable as the other vehicles in the lineup. The Solterra is, of course, equipped with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive so you have the ideal amount of traction on the road. When you’re headed off-road, the Solterra’s 8.3 inches of ground clearance and standard X-MODE with Hill Ascent and Descent Assist will come in handy. Another innovative system on the Solterra is Subaru StarDrive. This technology delivers on-demand torque through the use of paddle shifters, one-pedal driving, and sport mode for a thrilling drive every time you get behind the wheel.

Design

The new Solterra features signature Subaru style cues, an attractive SUV outline, and new accents that help it stand out among the crowd. Choose from the three appealing colors, including Elemental Red, Cosmic White, and the unique Harbor Mist Gray two-tone option. In the front, you’ll notice the signature hexagonal Subaru grille with a twist. Nearby are the C-shaped LED headlights to help illuminate the path ahead. The back features twin liftgate spoilers that give the Solterra a modern appeal, help manage airflow for efficiency, and give you a quiet ride inside.

Speaking of the cabin, the Solterra’s interior is spacious and modern. The SUV offers up to 126 cubic feet of passenger space and up to 30 cubic feet of cargo space. Thanks to its low load height and 41-inch wide rear gate opening, loading and unloading your gear and other items is simple. For the ultimate in comfort and quality, choose the StarTex-trimmed upholstery that’s standard on the Solterra Limited. That model also comes with heated front and rear seats, a power driver’s seat, and a heated steering wheel.

Safety

Another thing you can count on with Subaru vehicles is how impeccably safe they are. The 2023 Solterra comes with standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that will monitor the road and let you know if you should adjust your driving. Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Change Assist is convenient and smart, as it will automatically change your speed to keep a safe distance from a vehicle ahead. Meanwhile, automatic Pre-Collision Braking will stop the SUV for you in emergency situations. When it’s time to park or travel in reverse, the 360-degree surround-view camera will provide you an all-around view of the Solterra. Additional helpful systems include Blind-Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Reverse Automatic Braking, and Safety Exit Alert.
