Vehicle Details: 2019 Jeep® Wrangler Safety
Safety in all driving conditions
The 2019 Jeep® Wrangler is America’s premiere off-road vehicle, but driving off-road involves more than the ability to maneuver around or over physical obstacles. The Wrangler comes with a host of standard and available systems designed to help you arrive at your destination safely and securely — no matter what roads, paved or unpaved, you take to get there.
Assistance when you need it
With the available Advanced Safety Group, the 2019 Jeep® Wrangler offers a suite of advanced active safety systems whose assistance can make the difference between a collision-free trip and having to make a detour to the repair shop. Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking will alert you when it detects an imminent frontal collision, and should you fail to apply the brakes in time, will do so autonomously to mitigate the impact or potentially avoid it altogether. Adaptive Cruise Control can slow down as necessary to maintain the gap to cars ahead and is offered even with the six-speed manual transmission models.
Eyes all around
For your benefit, the 2019 Jeep® Wrangler can see all around itself. The standard ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera highlights objects behind you that might otherwise be difficult to see, while the ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System uses sonar sensors in the rear bumper to alert you when you are getting close to a potential hazard while backing up into a parking spot, making it the perfect companion to have when parallel parking. Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection use radar-based sensors to detect other vehicles; the former will alert you when one is in your blind spot, while the latter will do so when a vehicle is crossing or about to cross your path while you are reversing.
Ready for impact
The 2019 Jeep® Wrangler is built using high-strength steel beams that help protect you during side impacts and clever crumple zones designed to absorb the energy of a collision. Every Wrangler is also equipped with advanced front and side impact airbags for enhanced head and torso protection, as well as seatbelts that automatically tighten to place you in the optimal seating position during a collision.
The Jeep® Wrangler built its reputation around capability and dependability in conditions that would make most vehicles turn around, so it only makes sense that it would come with top-notch occupant safety as well — whether on or off the road.
