Vehicle Details: 2020 Jeep® Wrangler Capabilities
Adventure beckons in this agile, versatile model
Whether you’re cruising the highway or making your way up a mountain, you can drive with confidence thanks to the powerful capabilities of the 2020 Jeep® Wrangler. Tough engines, surefooted off-road features and flexible cargo capacity make this Jeep® the ideal companion for your next trek.
Exceptional powertrain options
The 2020 Wrangler lineup boasts several powertrain options, making it easy for you to secure the exact capability you require. The Wrangler comes standard with a proven 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that makes a muscular 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for a more efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo that makes 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines can be paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an available eight-speed automatic. Both offer eTorque versions that boost low-end torque, allowing you to crawl over rocks with greater ease during your off-road adventures. And both are capable of
towing up to 3,500 pounds (2,000 pounds for two-door models) when the Wrangler is properly equipped.
New for 2020, the Wrangler can be equipped with an available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine on certain four-door trims. Along with a solid 260 horsepower, the EcoDiesel flaunts an astounding 442 lb-ft of torque for greater low-end twist and off-roading prowess. While EPA ratings haven’t been released yet, the EcoDiesel is also expected to offer better fuel economy than its gas-powered siblings.
A talented trio of 4x4 systems
Three tenacious 4x4 options ensure that the Trail Rated® 2020 Jeep® Wrangler can handle any terrain it encounters. Command-Trac® part-time 4WD is the standard setup, sending torque to all four wheels as needed. Sahara trims can add available full-time Selec-Trac®, which automatically shifts from 2WD to 4WD and back depending on road conditions. Rubicon trims come with Rock-Trac® heavy-duty part-time 4WD for exceptional off-road handling.
Proven off-road spirit
The Wrangler is renowned for its off-road abilities, and the 2020 version carries on this legacy in style. Each trim provides 10.8 inches of ground clearance, front and rear tow hooks and a pair of protective skid plates to give you peace of mind on rough ground. Excellent articulation, maneuverability and water-fording capabilities also set the Wrangler apart. Best of all is the Rubicon, which comes standard with a low-range transfer case, Tru-Lok® electronic locking front and rear differentials and an electronic front sway bar disconnect for superior handling on rocks, dirt, sand or mud—not to mention useful design elements like rock rails and high-clearance front fender flares.
Copious cargo space
No matter what you’re trying to pack, the 2020 Wrangler provides plenty of spacious and flexible hauling capability. When the rear seat is folded down, two-door models can carry up to 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Four-door models more than double this with 72.4 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. Other standard cargo features include cargo anchors, a rear in-floor storage bin and a Fold-and-Tumble removable rear bench seat. The Trail Rail™ cargo management system is available to help keep everything organized.
It’s hard to find a more capable vehicle than the 2020 Jeep® Wrangler. This iconic nameplate presents the versatile features, reliable muscle and unmatched agility you need for adventures on and off the beaten path.
