Vehicle Profile: 2022 Buick Enclave

2022 Buick Enclave
As a stylish, versatile SUV for families, the Buick Enclave has been a prominent member of the brand’s lineup for years. For the 2022 model year, the Enclave is returning with some changes that make it even more appealing. Here’s a look at the latest Buick Enclave and why this edition may be the best one yet.

What’s new for 2022?

One of the first things you’ll notice about the 2022 Enclave is its new look. While it hasn’t been completely redone, the SUV does have noticeable tweaks that make its appearance that much sharper. The headlamps and taillamps are sleeker and bolder. The bumpers are less obtrusive, being smoothly wrapped into the curves of the rest of the body. The spoke pattern on the wheels are different, giving the Enclave a more athletic look even when it’s not in motion.

Inside, you’ll notice some changes to the center console’s layout and controls and the addition of push-button Electronic Transmission Range Select. Other highlights this year include the inclusion of more standard safety features as part of the Buick Driver Confidence Plus package and the addition of more luxury enhancements that are exclusive to the Enclave Avenir.

Powerful performance

Recognizing that driving the Enclave requires ample power, its engineers decided to keep the robust 3.6-liter V6 engine that has made the SUV such a joy to pilot. Producing 310 horsepower at peak performance, this motor provides peppy acceleration — even with a full caravan of passengers. Available all-wheel drive provides extra stability when the streets are slick. Buick’s QuietTuning technology provides a serene environment for driving so you can enjoy peace and quiet even when you’re traversing rough roads or barreling through stormy weather.

Safety for your daily drives

As one of the noteworthy additions for the 2022 model, the Buick Driver Confidence Plus Package provides you with the tools you need to safely navigate through crowded traffic and long stretches of highways. Now included on all Enclave models are Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane, Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and IntelliBeam Auto High Beams. Previously, you had to pay extra money for these optional features, but now Buick has made them standard on the Enclave. Additional tools available to add include Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and a full-color Head-Up Display.

Attractive Avenir enhancements

As the premium version of Buick’s best models, the Avenir badge imbues the Enclave with attention-grabbing style upgrades. The signature Avenir badging, grille design, body color accents, and unique fascia set this top-of-the-line Enclave apart from other versions. Inside, unique upholstery stitching patterns, cabin trim accents, and chrome sill plates evoke true sophistication. Feel sublime comfort riding in the heated and ventilated front seats that work the stress out of your shoulders with massage functions. You receive even more great tech features on the Enclave Avenir, including Adaptive Cruise Control, and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking.

Apart from these updates, the 2022 Buick Enclave carries over many of its winning qualities and features from the prior model year. Its safety and style enhancements this year simply make it a better value — and a more attractive SUV to drive.
