It doesn’t matter what the road is paved with – or if it is paved at all; the 2019 Jeep® Grand Cherokee is capable of handling any terrain, whether made by man or Mother Nature.
The 2019 Jeep® Grand Cherokee is available at 12 impressive terrain-conquering trim levels: Laredo, Laredo E, Upland, Altitude, Limited, Limited X, Trailhawk®, Overland, High Altitude, Summit, SRT® and Trackhawk. You have the choice of 4x2 or 4x4 configurations in the Laredo, Laredo E, Upland, Altitude, Limited, Limited X, Overland, High Altitude and Summit trim levels. The Trailhawk®, SRT® and Trackhawk offer one configuration — 4x4.
If you’re an adventurer, you know with every escape a little rain (or snow, sleet or fog) may fall. Changing weather conditions add a certain flair as well as stress to your journeys, and just as you are up for every challenge along the way, so is the 2019 Jeep® Grand Cherokee thanks to its available 4x4 systems. Road conditions are evenly matched with the available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. Helping to deliver a controlled driving experience are the Grand Cherokee’s standard systems of traction control, electronic stability control and trailer sway damping.
The Trail Rated® badge is so much more than a shiny decal. To have earned it means a model has successfully passed a five-component test of its performance under various conditions. Any model equipped with the available Off-Road Adventure II Group or All-Weather Trail Rated Package, is Trail Rated®, as is the Trailhawk® trim, which means its 4x4 configuration delivers responsive traction. Its articulation allows the wheels a greater distance when moving up and down. Its maneuverability can navigate off-road obstacles like logs and rocks, and water fording is possible with water sealing and high air intakes. Finally, its ground clearance affords safe obstacle-pass over.
This vehicle also boasts utilitarian standard features such as an anti-glare decal, the Quadra-Drive® II 4x4 System with electronic limited-slip differential, skid plates and tow hooks, helping it to achieve its Trail Rated® status. Not only will you be able to feel (and marvel at) how your Grand Cherokee handles rough terrain or obstacles, you will also be able to monitor real-time performance details. With the available Off-Road Pages, your Grand Cherokee’s user-friendly, crystal-clear touch-screen display reveals diagnostics on areas such as suspension height settings and wheel articulation.
Four engine choices make the 2019 Jeep® Cherokee customizable to your driving preferences and more than cover your towing and capability needs. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 enhanced with electronic stop/start technology delivers 295 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque and a towing capability of 6,200 pounds. The available 5.7-liter V6 increases horsepower, torque and towing capacity to 360, 390 and 7,200, respectively. The 6.4-liter V8 increases horsepower output to 475 and torque to 470. The same 7,200-pound towing capacity is also possible with the 6.4-liter V8. For the most power and responsive driving experience, opt for the available supercharged 6.2-liter V8, which puts out 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque while still offering the impressive towing capacity of 7,200 pounds.
The 2019 Jeep® Grand Cherokee is engineered with the systems you need to drive the adventures you seek. And with so many choices, ranging from trim level and configuration to powertrain, you can easily customize the Grand Cherokee to fit your driving lifestyle.
