Subaru Reveals Pricing for 2020 Performance Lines


Beloved for their high-performance engines and precise handling, Subaru’s WRX and WRX STI models will cost just a few hundred dollars more for the new model year — while offering numerous new features.

2020 Subaru WRX

Pricing for the 2020 Subaru WRX starts at $27,495 for the base trim, an increase of $300 from 2019. This model offers a direct-injected 2.0-liter turbo BOXER engine that gets 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, a six-speed manual transmission, all-wheel drive and interior features like a 5.9-inch display screen and automatic climate control.

The WRX Premium, which starts at $29,795, adds an optional Sport Lineartronic® CVT with manual shift mode and Subaru Intelligent Drive selection. Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology comes standard for CVT-equipped models. Other standard Premium features include 18-inch wheels, heated front seats and a 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. New for 2020, the WRX Premium offers an available Performance Package with Recaro® eight-way power performance seats and Brembo brakes.

The WRX Limited comes in at $32,095, offering standard features like keyless access with push-button start, steering-responsive LED headlights and a 10-way power driver’s seat. Options for this trim include the STARLINK Multimedia Navigation system, Harman Kardon® speakers and active-safety equipment like blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert and reverse automatic braking.

2020 Subaru WRX STI

The 2020 Subaru WRX STI base trim costs $36,995, or $400 more than the previous model year. This model amps up the performance with Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a six-speed manual transmission and a 2.5-liter turbo BOXER engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. Keyless access with push-button start is new for 2020, along with 19-inch machined-finish aluminum alloy wheels and redesigned engine bay cooling ducts. Standard WRX STI features include roof rack mounting brackets, a 7-inch STARLINK Multimedia Plus system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel and unique black Ultrasuede® upholstery.
The WRX STI Limited starts at $41,695, offering Recaro® performance front seats, STARLINK Multimedia Navigation, Harman Kardon® speakers, leather upholstery, a power moonroof and two rear spoiler options.
