Vehicle Profile: 2020 Chevrolet Suburban
There is no missing the Chevrolet Suburban, as the imposing full-size SUV commands a lot of room on the road. What might not be as apparent to other drivers, however, is the luxurious, refined interior and the versatile cabin space that easily accommodates a large group (seats up to nine on the LS model) or a large amount of gear (maximum cargo space of 121.7 cubic feet) to help facilitate epic road trips and comfortable daily drives.
The well-equipped 2020 Chevy Suburban is available at three trim levels — LS, LT and Premier.
The 2020 Chevy Suburban offers two engine options. The standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3® V8 with Active Fuel Management™, Direct Injection and Variable Valve Timing paired to a six-speed automatic transmission delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain earns a maximum towing capacity of 8,300 pounds.* The available 6.2-liter EcoTec3® V8 engine generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Road trips won’t be rudely interrupted thanks to the Suburban’s EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of 23 mpg on the highway.**
Since the 2020 Chevy Suburban is built to go the distance, it makes sense that it’s equipped with advanced infotainment systems to help keep everyone entertained on the long haul. With the user-friendly, responsive Chevrolet Infotainment System, you can sync your smartphone via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, protect your data thanks to an available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot and stream limitless entertainment choices with Bluetooth compatibility®. Your rear passengers will never chant the dreaded words, “Are we there yet?” when you opt for the available Rear-Seat Blu-ray®/DVD Entertainment System.
The 2020 Chevy Suburban is engineered with advanced safety systems and driver assist technologies to give you greater confidence behind the wheel. Daytime Running Lamps make the 2020 Suburban stand out even more on the road to other drivers while the Rear Vision Camera offers you a broader perspective of potential dangers behind you. StabiliTrak® offers traction control to help give you a more secure driving performance. The Teen Driver system helps you keep tabs on driving habits of your young, inexperienced driver. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System monitors the Suburban’s most important safety feature, its tires.
The available Forward Collision Alert warns you if you are in danger of a frontal impact while Front and Rear Park Assist can offer welcome guidance when maneuvering into a parking spot. Available Automatic Emergency Braking can engage the brakes automatically when you’re in danger of a front-end accident. Cross-traffic on your left or right is detected by Rear Cross Traffic Alert system while Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert helps safeguard your lane changes. Instead of audible alerts from driver assist technologies, you can receive vibration pulses in the driver’s seat via the available Safety Alert Seat.
The 2020 Chevy Suburban delivers a well-equipped interior to accommodate a large group, a responsive powertrain for a smooth, dependable performance and modern technologies designed to help keep you and your passengers entertained and safe.
