The Next Black Line Special Editions
We’ll say it again: having a limited-edition Lexus in your driveway is a special thing.

We’ll say it again: having a limited-edition Lexus in your driveway is a special thing. Lexus drivers seem to agree, because the Black Line Special Editions for the 2019 IS 300 F SPORT and 2019 NX 300 F SPORT have been selling out since their arrival several months ago.

But not to worry if you missed them—Lexus has created some stunning new Black Line Special Editions for 2020.

Consider the 2020 Lexus NX 300 Black Line Special Edition, which builds on the NX premium package. Like its predecessor, this vehicle is an opportunity to experience a little more NX personalization, as well as enjoy some normally optional technologies as standard features.

First, let’s talk about its distinctive bronze-colored accents. Wheels with a bronze-colored finish and color-key fenders—a first for a Lexus NX—give the vehicle a stately, modern gleam that complements the three body color options (Eminent White Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl, and Matador Red Mica). Plus, the wheels and fenders are a bold contrast to the blacked-out front end and side mirrors. Inside the vehicle, the contrasting bronze-colored accents continue via exclusive bronze-colored stitching and ornamentation on the seats, center console, door trim, and floor mats.

And then there’s the tech. This special edition comes with the Navigation System[1], Intuitive Parking Assist[2], and the power rear door with kick sensor (which are options on the 2020 Lexus NX 300). It’s also the first NX to offer Android Auto™[3] compatibility, which, among other benefits, allows drivers to use Google Assistant[4] to voice-control compatible apps like Spotify®[5].

Meanwhile, the 2020 Lexus IS F SPORT Black Line Special Edition builds on the 2019 version by amping up its sporty styling for performance-minded drivers—especially drivers who don’t mind a little attention. (The 2020 IS F SPORT Black Line Special Edition will be available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive IS 350 F SPORT models, in addition to the IS 300 F SPORT RWD and AWD models).

The 2020 model stays true to its dark tones and elements (such as black side mirrors) but adds fresh styling cues. The black chrome-finished grill surround, for example, shares a smokiness with the Black Vapor Chrome finish on the 18-inch, split-spoke wheels[6], and each of these components accentuate the three exterior color options: Obsidian, Ultra White, and Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0[7].

Complementary styling extends to the interior, where crisp Indigo Blue stitching helps spotlight the sleek black-and-gray seats and dark knee pads, dash, and door trim, while further Indigo Blue accents bring a polished coolness to the heated wood steering wheel, glove box, and door-switch panels.

The IS F SPORT Black Line Special Edition also comes standard with the Lexus SmartAccess card key, as well as premium features also found in the IS F SPORT such as triple-beam LED headlamps, the Navigation System[1], and Blind Spot Monitor[9].

When both models begin arriving in late November 2019, they’ll come in limited numbers—2,000 U.S. models for the Lexus NX 300 Black Line Special Edition and 900 U.S. models for the Lexus IS F SPORT Black Line Special edition. Keep in mind, however, that they share the same thrilling driving feel as their non-special-edition brethren, the 2020 IS F SPORT and 2020 NX 300, which are also beckoning for a test drive.
