Sophisticated design shines through in the capable, fun-to-drive 2020 Lexus GX
The 2020 Lexus GX sets the bar in the luxury SUV segment. With an athletic, yet sophisticated exterior and luxurious, well-equipped interior, the Lexus GX delivers superior comfort, safety and performance to those lucky enough to be along for the ride.
The sophisticated yet rugged 2020 Lexus GX accommodates seven passengers and is available at three trim levels — GX 460, GX 460 Premium and GX 460 Luxury.
Sound never sounded so sweet or impressive than through the available Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System. Staying connected is simple and safer with Voice Command to control Bluetooth®-enabled phone calls. Audio selections can be controlled by voice, as well.
The 2020 Lexus GX delivers smooth performance thanks to its fine-tuned 4.6-liter V8 engine paired to a six-speed sequential-shift automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence. This powertrain is rated at 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. Varying terrain won’t disrupt the driving performance of the Lexus GX, as the luxury SUV is equipped with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, a class-exclusive feature that makes the Lexus GX an outstanding choice in the SUV market. Greater control on difficult terrains is afforded with the available Multi-Terrain Select. When properly equipped, the Lexus GX earns a maximum towing capacity of 6,500 pounds.
The rugged exterior of the 2020 Lexus GX is defined by eye-catching elements such as the three-projector full-LED headlamps, roof rails, rear spoiler and available LED foglamps. Inside, the refined interior complete with 10-way power front seats, available semi-aniline leather interior trim and available second-row captain’s chairs, is complemented by smart features that offer versatile space to drivers and passengers. Drivers can easily customize space for passengers and stuff thanks to the 60/40-split second-row, which can slide and recline, while the available power fold-flat, 50/50-split third-row seats allows easy access to the cargo area. Although the Lexus GX offers unparalleled comfort for passengers, it is designed for drivers, and its attention to driving performance is evident with the driver-centric cockpit, which features a large multi-information display and steering wheel with three spokes and controls.
The 2020 Lexus GX is equipped with a 10 airbag system and active front headrests, which help minimize the consequences of whiplash. A suite of driver assist technologies and active safety equipment is included in the Lexus Safety System+ and comes standard on the Lexus GX. The system boasts tech that help drivers detect dangers in their paths and automatically engage the brakes when necessary (Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection), a system that keeps drivers within their lanes (Lane Departure Alert), a feature that automatically adjusts your set speed (High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control), and illumination that provides your most visible path when traveling at certain speeds (Intelligent High Beams). In the event of an accident or other emergency, drivers of the Lexus GX can reach out for help with the Lexus Enform Safety Connect system. Drivers will be able to change lanes and reverse out of parking spots with greater confidence with the Lexus GX’s Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert systems, respectively. Not only does the Direct Tire Pressure Monitor System keep tabs on the tires, it also reveals what tire needs maintenance.
With a design that caters to the driver, luxurious refinements and a performance that’s capable of intense towing, the 2020 Lexus GX elevates what you expect from an SUV.
