Plenty of powertrain options

Its standard offering is a 4.3-liter V6 gas engine that pumps out 276 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque. If you want to add a little more muscle to your fleet, choose the 6.0-liter V8 Vortec® engine. It delivers a spirited 341 horsepower and 373 lb-ft of torque. However, if you’d like to save some money at the pump, the GMC Savana also offers engines that run on alternative fuels. You can opt for a 6.0-liter V8 dynamo that runs on compressed natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas. But this engine doesn’t trade power for efficiency — it delivers 341 horsepower and 373 lb-ft of torque. The Savana also offers a 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel. This four-cylinder engine pumps out 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
