Vehicle Details: 2022 Subaru Ascent Interior
As the largest vehicle in the Subaru lineup, the 2022 Ascent has a spacious interior that’s filled with plenty of convenient features. Learn more about the premium materials and advanced tech that you can find in the new Subaru Ascent.
The 2022 Subaru Ascent offers 153.5 cubic feet of passenger volume and has enough room for up to eight passengers as standard. As you move up through the lineup, certain models offer second-row captain’s chairs, therefore lowering the passenger room to seven. The base model comes with cloth upholstery, but as you move through the Ascent lineup you can select options like stain-resistant cloth, water-repellent StarTex®, or leather-trimmed seats. In addition to premium seating, the doors and dashboard can also be lined with upscale materials like ivory leather, silver carbon fiber, ivory carbon fiber, and woodgrain-patterned accents.
Even more comfort can be found in available features like heated front seats (in the All-Weather Package), ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats. You can also warm up your hands on cold days with a heated steering wheel on the Onyx Edition, Limited, and Touring models. If you’d like to have a power-adjustable driver’s seat with power-adjustable lumbar support and memory for two positions, choose the Limited or Touring models.
Along with being comfortable, the interior of the new Ascent is also convenient. Throughout the cabin, you’ll have access to 19 cup and bottle holders. Everyone can keep their devices powered up thanks to dual front USB ports and second-row USB ports; third-row USB ports are standard on the Onyx Edition and above. You can also utilize the 120-volt AC power outlet for other devices as well.
Speaking of those devices, 4G LTE Wi-Fi capability is standard on the Ascent Premium model and above, letting you connect to the world around you, no matter where you’re headed. The standard 6.5-inch STARLINK® Multimedia Plus system lets you connect your smartphone via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ as well as through Bluetooth®. When you opt for the 8.0-inch STARLINK® Multimedia Plus system, you add NFC technology, voice-activated controls, and a high-resolution display. Finally, STARLINK® 8.0-inch Multimedia Navigation comes with SiriusXM® Traffic® as well as a multi-touch gesture GPS navigation system.
As previously mentioned, the Subaru Ascent offers a roomy 153.5 cubic feet of passenger space in its cabin. But when it’s time to haul sports equipment, groceries, and more, you’ll have plenty of options to adjust the interior as needed. The cargo area behind the second row is 43.5 cubic feet, which means you can still have passengers and items with you on your trips. If you need more space, consider opening up the standard cargo-area underfloor storage tray. You can also fold down the second-row seats to open up 75.6 cubic feet of total cargo space. Keep in mind, though, that if you select a model with a moonroof, that number changes to 72.8 cubic feet of space to accommodate this luxury amenity.
The best way to experience the high-quality interior of the 2022 Subaru Ascent is to take this vehicle for a test drive.
