Vehicle Profile: 2019 Jeep® Compass Design

The Jeep® Compass recently underwent a major redesign, replacing both the previous Compass and the smaller Patriot. As a result, the current generation of the Compass carries some brand-new design elements. From the lavish interior to the rugged exterior, the 2019 Jeep® Compass has a design all its own.

An all-new look

The most striking design change for the 2019 Compass is its exterior. While the new Compass bears several similarities to its previous generation, it is also defined by staples of modern automotive design. Aerodynamic curves grant the vehicle a more athletic look, which is certainly an aesthetic that you associate with Jeep®. These dynamic lines can be seen at every angle of the Compass.

The Compass’ exterior features extend this new, athletic look even further. It comes with 16-inch x 6.5-inch styled black steel wheels, and each Compass trim comes with a unique wheel design to set it apart.

The 2019 Compass still bears some of the major hallmarks of the Jeep® design language. You will notice the iconic seven-bar grille as you approach the Compass.

An interior that matches its rugged spirit

The design team at Jeep® has put just as much thought and effort into the interior of the Compass as its exterior. They crafted the cabin to reflect the vehicle’s rugged nature, while simultaneously providing a comforting environment for travelling.

Cloth-covered low-back bucket seats provide comfortable places to rest inside the cabin. Upgrading to the Compass’ Limited trim level replaces those standard cloth seats with leather-trimmed seats, complete with perforated leather inserts and heating for the front seats.

A 7.0-inch display serves as the centerpiece for the Jeep® Compass’ infotainment features. From here, drivers can access the Uconnect® 4 system, as well as the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera.

Still, the best interior features of the new Compass are the ones that make off-roading a much more enjoyable experience. An available heated steering wheel helps to keep you warm while you traverse the wilderness during winter. Auto Temperature Control keeps the cabin’s atmosphere comfortable. Thanks to an expertly designed sunroof that comes included with the Sun & Wheel model, you can take in the natural light and open air of nature without leaving the cabin of the Compass.

The success of the Jeep® Compass in recent years proves that Jeep® made the right call with its new design.
